Considerations about Parameters Estimation into a Minimum Variance Control System

چکیده

The starting point to design a minimum variance control law consists in identifying linearized mathematical model (valid around an operating point) of nonlinear process, respectively the on-line estimation parameters this model. This paper presents comparative study regarding these for case when process operates open-loop, is integrated into closed-loop system specific control. comparison made both analytically (for general case) and through validation (by simulation) particularized induction generator wind energy conversion system. main contribution proving fact that, (under constraints imposed by law), estimates differ from real ones identified open-loop (in free mode, without constraints). In addition, as novelty, demonstrates steady-state, gain are identical, even though they calculated based on different linear parameters. Thus, closed-loop, parameter estimator rather allows gain, although it does not accurately estimate values (correctly estimated only open-loop).

Polynomial Chaos Quadrature-based Minimum Variance Approach for Source Parameters Estimation

We present a polynomial chaos based minimum variance formulation to solve inverse problems. The utility of the proposed approach is evaluated by considering the ash transport problem arising due to volcanic eruption. Volcanic ash advisory centers generally makes use of mathematical models for column eruption and advection and diffusion of ash cloud in atmosphere. These models require input data...

On a Two Degree of Freedom Generalized Minimum Variance Control

This paper presents a servo strategy of Generalized Minimum Variance Control (GMVC) with a two degree of freedom. If GMVC fasts the transient response by tuning the control signal weight of the cost function, a large overshoot remains. This paper introduces the two degree of freedom GMVC. The two degree of freedom function curbs the overshoot, while the satisfactory transient characteristic hol...

Asymptotically minimum variance second-order estimation for complex circular processes

This paper addresses asymptotically minimum variance (AMV) of parameter estimators within the class of algorithms based on second-order statistics for estimating parameter of strict-sense stationary complex circular processes. As an application, the estimation of the frequencies of cisoids for mixed spectra time series containing a sum of cisoids and an MA process is considered. r 2005 Elsevier...

Fast algorithms for least-squares-based minimum variance spectral estimation

The minimum variance (MV) spectral estimator is a robust high-resolution frequencydomain analysis tool for short data records. The traditional formulation of the minimum variance spectral estimation (MVSE) depends on the inverse of a Toeplitz autocorrelation matrix, for which a fast computational algorithm exists that exploits this structure. This paper extends the MVSE approach to two data-onl...

Differential Privacy and Minimum-Variance Unbiased Estimation in Multi-Agent Control Systems

In a discrete-time linear multi-agent control system, where the agents are coupled via an environmental state, knowledge of the environmental state is desirable to control the agents locally. However, since the environmental state depends on the behavior of the agents, sharing it directly among these agents jeopardizes the privacy of the agents’ profiles, defined as the combination of the agent...
